Statement of Significance
Contribution to historic garden or park
The date of the original garden is not known, however it is believed that the tree was planted circa 1900 as a photograph taken in 1937 shows reasonable maturity. This tree is notable for its very low-spreading crown with seven major limbs about 1.5m from ground level. These limbs are secondary to the main structure of tree which starts at about 3 metres. The house is 4 miles south of Skipton
