Heritage Inventory Interpretation: Timber bridge with some original feature indicating an early construction date c 1850s - 1870s.

OLD FIVE MILE BRIDGE - Heritage Inventory Description
Timber bridge on route to goldfields at Steiglitz. Original piers with raker piles and a couple of old broad-axed stringers and corbels remain.
Heritage Inventory Significance: Medium to local significance.
Heritage Inventory Site Features: Steel, concrete and bitumen deck, piers fully original, round and square beams, round piles, no stays both slopes, half cross heads, unshaped corbels. Beams are a mix of timber and steel girders. 1 raker pile each side original & some original stringers.
