MINOTTI'S FLOUR MILL - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: Battista Minotti built a flour mill on the banks of the Jim Crow Creek. He conveyed water along a race to drive a 16 foot diameter waterwheel. Minotti also went into partnership with the adjoining land owner Guiseppe Pozzi. These two men may have worked the gold mine and carried out farming activities together

Heritage Inventory Interpretation: Consistent with historical record - site of Battista Minotti's flour mill. The surviving archaeological features also suggest that farming and gold mining were carried out at the site
