Statement of Significance
This place is included on the Victorian Heritage Inventory, for its potential to contain historical archaeological remains associated with the settlement and growth of early Melbourne. Under the terms of the Heritage Act 2017 there is protection for all historical archaeology sites and objects in the state.

GREENSON HOUSE - Heritage Inventory Description
Building on site, 1866. 1880 - 2 storey building. 1888 - site vacant. 1894 - building constructed as Chinese Mission Church and Training Home (used 1895-1910). Prominent Chinese merchant, Cheong Cheok Hong led a group of Chinese missionaries in pressing for the establishment of the church. From 1910 Presbyterian Church operated it until 1954, after which it was converted into offices.
