Heritage Inventory History of Site: House built circa 1855 by George Sherwin, the area's earliest settler. Hurreys took over in 1886 and the site was used as a dairy with around fifty cows.Heritage Inventory Description
YAN YEAN 2, CRAIGIE LEA - Heritage Inventory Description
Bluestone single-storey house of eight rooms, with timber floors, a slate roof. There is an attached kitchen outside and a nearby well. Dairy machines 1937, beef cattle 1940s.
Heritage Inventory Significance: High. Almost intact, and changed little over the years, it is worthy of restoration and excavation.
