BUSHY PARK - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: The Bushy Park Run was one of the earliest pastoral leases in the Dandenong Valley. After changing hands several times the Pre-emptive Right by J. Delaney in the 1850's. Much of the surrounding land was granted under the early ? settlement acts in the 1870's.
BUSHY PARK - Interpretation of Site
Site used for pastoral/ agricultural puposes from the mid to late 19th C. Currently used as a domestic residence for the park ranger (in a modern house now present on the site).

Low. No visible features on the surface, but some possibility of subsurface deposits. Local significance

BUSHY PARK - Heritage Inventory Description
Site of modern house (ranger's residence) on west side of Bushy Park Road. Outbuildings and exotic trees of nineteenth century period. Site of homestead not located but continuous use of site apparent.
Heritage Inventory Significance: Potential for remains of Delany's 'Bushy Park' run of 1850's and possibly ealier occupation
