The Edglestone complex comprises the main homestead, a series of traditional outbuildings, a tree-lined drive from the Hamilton Highway and all of the land contained in Lots 1, 2, 3 and 4 of TP 13003, Parish of Murgheboluc. The homestead is a single-storey, symmetrical masonry building with a low-pitched slate roof. The windows are twelve-paned double hung sashes. The conventional front door has side lights and a fanlight. The timber-post supported verandah with its bull-nose profile is a later addition. There is an historic photograph of Edglestone with a scalloped timber fascia board and timber verandah rails (Venters, p 94). Interestingly, the photograph indicates no substantial garden in front of the house. The outbuildings include stone, brick and iron structures. The drive is lined with pines, probably Pinus pinea (Stone Pines). There are Schinus molle (Peppercorn Trees) around the property. The complex appears to be generally intact. Its integrity is not known, nor is its condition.
