WAHRING COTTAGE RUIN - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: Lot 3A was obtained under selection Acts by A Minchin 07/05/1872 but may have become part of Timothy Geary's larger farm in the late nineteenth century. Geary's homestead is one km to the east. The cottage was a focus for the Wahring community which included several farms, railway station and a store. The site was destroyed c. 1980 by fire.
