Site used for domestic and industrial purposes. Camp for workers (war labour) and the area logged for fire wood. Since abandonment, site not in use. Now bushland.

NARBETHONG INTERNMENT CAMP - Heritage Inventory Description
WWII Internment camp on east side of Old Coach Road near Narbethong. The physical remains of the camp comprise 6 structural features and 2 artefact occurences. F1 is group of 6 rectangular posts, F2 is a level terrace containing some demolition material, F3 is a stone fireplace, probably the base for a galvanised iron or timber slab chimney. F5-6 are surface exposures of bottles (1940s-50s), F6 possibly stratified. F7 is a second group of rectangular posts with some assoc. demolition materials. F8 is a narrow rectangular timber-lined pit.
