MUNROS' MILL (EASTERN) - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: The Melbourne firm of Munro & Sons purchased the mill equipment in 1919 and established this mill on the Eastern Tyers River. It was moved to a new site , further west, in 1920.Heritage Inventory Description
MUNROS' MILL (EASTERN) - Heritage Inventory Description
Remains include - a large sawdust heap, a portable steam engine (badly rusted, most parts removed), scattered iron artefacts (yoke, firebar, shovel). Settlement apparently located about 200-300m east with no obvious remains except pieces of bottles. Tramway formation is now mostly a walking track, there are a few cuttings and some remnant sleepers.
