NELSON'S MILL - Interpretation of Site
Heritage Inventory Interpretation: Small to medium-sized sawmill site almost completely cleared of machinery, equipment & artefacts. Tyers Valley Steel Tramway terminated at the site, connecting the mill with the VR narrow gauge railway line at Collins Siding.

NELSON'S MILL - Heritage Inventory Description
Abandoned sawmill site. Clearing in Ash regrowth forest on north side of East Tyers River.
Heritage Inventory Significance: Local
Heritage Inventory Site Features: Sawdust heap 37m x 19m x 2.5m; scattered metal artefacts. Site approximately 50m x 50m, sloping down to East Tyers River. Site bisected by walking track, which follows route of eastern branch of the Erica/Tyers Valley Steel Tramway (H8122-0077)
