MCCONNELL 1 - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site:
The history of this site is largely unknown. The original structure(s) is assumed to be at least 50 years old. A 1954 survey map indicates that it may have been constructed by McConnell. The site was probably destroyed some time after the land was gazetted by the RAAF (1954).
MCCONNELL 1 - Interpretation of Site
Heritage Inventory Interpretation: This site is probably the remains of a building (homestead?) associated with farming activity prior to the purchase of the land by the RAAF. The site has been completely levelled - no structure, or foundation of past structures, remain.
