BEDFORDSHIRE CO - Heritage Inventory Description
A very disturbed site which still has a reasonable amount of quartz wash and mullock. The wash is in two heaps one 20m by 15m and the other 12m by 12m, both are between 1 to 1.5m high. The mullock heap joins the southern end of the smaller heap of quartz wash, it covers an area 30m long and up to 15m wide and is 2.5m high. The heaps are not regular and have been substantially disturbed and pushed about, probably during removal operations. There is a dam formation at the southern end of the mullock heap on its western side, it is approximately 10m by 10m.
