HISTORIC ARTEFACT SCATTER - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: Artefacts and presence of peppercorn trees suggest that the site contained a homestead and possibly farm buildings. Established in the late 19th Century, it was demolished in late 2000 or early 2001.
HISTORIC ARTEFACT SCATTER - Interpretation of Site
Heritage Inventory Interpretation: Former farm established by Michael Grace in the late 19th Century, was recently demolished and the bulk of the cultural items (buildings and portable artefacts) were removed from the site. The entire paddock was later levelled.

HISTORIC ARTEFACT SCATTER - Heritage Inventory Description
A diffuse scatter of historical material over a freshly ploughed and drained paddock which is part of Goulburn Valley Water Authority Sewerage treatment works. Artefacts spread over approx 400 x 300 metres in south-east corner of paddock.
Heritage Inventory Significance: Assessedas moderate significance as dump sites are relatively common in the area, and the site has been severely disturbed.

Vines Date Recorded: Date Recorded: 06/03/01 Heritage Inventory Key Components: Hand made and machine made bricks (Hoffmans, Ershire and Shepparton brickworks), mould blown, applied and blob top and machine made glass bottle fragments - range of domestic bottles of late 19th and early 20th Century manufacture, table glassware, ceramic fragments, sheet metal, roofing iron and cast iron fragments, timber fragments, peppercorn trees. Heritage Inventory Site Features: Line of trees along fenceline adjacent to road. There is a sewerage channel which runs along 3 sides of the block. Artefacts are scattered over south-east corner. North-west corner contains a stand of mature eucalypts, and a number of dead trees which have been cut down and removed from their original position.
