Statement of Significance
This is an altered Victorian-era house with weatherbaord wall cladding, corbelled brick chimney, corrugated iron roofing, scalloped barges, and a gabled main roof with agabled projecting room bay. The skillion form front verandah is new, with cast-iron brackets, a concrete floor and timber framing. There is what appears to be an added gabled westherbaord clad bay at the rear, with an unusual cantilivered bay window. This is attached to the rear skillion
Integrity
Both front windows have been replaced, the front verandah is new, the chimney bricks have been painted and top capped, and a skillion car port has been added to the side. The front fence is new and inter-war in character.
Context
Set on the side of the hill in a group of early weatherboard houses, opposite the other Leach house (24 Collins Street)

This is a double-fronted weatherboard clad house with M-hip profile corrugated iron clad roof, corbelled red brick chimneys (painted over), new picket fence, new colours and a new verandah, with turned Edwardian-era posts and a cast-aluminium frieze.
