GUILDFORD ARTEFACT SCATTER - History
Heritage Inventory History of Site: Unknown, but artefacts appear to relate to gold rush era.
GUILDFORD ARTEFACT SCATTER - Interpretation of Site
Heritage Inventory Interpretation: Possibly a gold miners' camp from mid 19th Century. The disturbed appearance of the site makes interpretation difficult. It may also be a dump/landfill area. Test excavation would determine this. It may also have been a railway camp during construction of the nearby railway.
