House and front fence - Physical Description 1
This brick building has two projecting bay windows which are separately roofed. The verandah line foloows the right hand side bay giving the verandah a more ornate appearance. The cast iron verandah has an ornate frieze supported on cast iron brackets and its and decorated by cross-shaped pendant drops. The verandah .post's are irregularly spaced, doubled at the entrance and where these spaces are narrow the brackets meet to form arches. The recessed entrance is marked by a gablet above the verandah and where the posts are doubled a trellis patterned iron has been used. Above the verandah are paired eaves brackets.
The ornate cast iron verandah form and the delicate cast iron double palisade fence with intact gates make this building a~ important streetscape element.House and front fence - Intactness
