Veterans Description for Public
Mystic Park War Memorial - Veterans Description for Public
The Mystic Park War Memorial is located in a reserve at the south end of East Road. The memorial is a four-tiered sandstone obelisk with granite facings and the inscription "Lest we forget. In memory of our brave men whose foremost fighting fell in the Great War 1914-1919". Below the inscription eight names of the fallen are listed. A separate tablet has been added after the Second World War and is specifically dedicated top Gunner R.P. Davey "who was killed at Mersa Matruh on 14 August 1941."
