The Murchison Boer War Memorial, located at Stephenson Street, is a grey granite obelisk on a granite base, dedicated to a local soldier killed in the Boer War. The plaque is inscribed with the following: "In Memory Of Lieutenant James Charles Roberts Of Murchison Detachment B Co Victorian Mounted Rifles Mortally Wounded In Action At Rensburg South Africa 12th February 1900 Pro Deo Et Patria."
