CHINESE FISH PROCESSING SITE - Interpretation of Site
Possibly site where Chinese people lived, fished, cured fish, mended and dried nets, etc. [22/8/3] dug trenches may represent a system for smoke from a fire before releasing it into a smokeroom. The post stumps represent a jetty. The imported rock was probably part of a foundation or hearth. At present the lime deposit represents an unknown factor.
