Wahgunyah War Memorial - Veterans Description for Public
The Wahgunyah War Memorial commemorates soldiers who served in the First and Second World Wars. Situated within the gardens on Foord Street, it is surrounded by mature Canary Island palm trees.The ornamental memorial is constructed from grey marble and bears the inscription "Erected to the Memory of the Glorious Sons of Wagunyah who died in the Great War 1914-1919." Another inscription was later added "For the Boys Who Gave Their Lives in 1939-45 War."
