DUMP IS ASSOCIATED WITH FORMER HOUSE SITE. HOUSE WAS "CLEARED UP" AROUND THE 1940S AND THERE IS NO SIGN OF FOUNDATIONS. HOUSE USED TO BELING TO MR JONES - A CHEMIST WHO HAD COME FROM ENGLAND. NOT CLEAR WHETHER "JONES" WAS A PIONEER SETTLER.

OUYEN MINERAL SANDS (OMS) - H1 - Heritage Inventory Description
Small rubbish dump associated with former house site. Dump contains an assortment of bottles, china, metal including abandoned farm machinery. Fires have occurred within the site - possibly as part of rubbish management.
Bottles, china, pottery, assorted metal and tines, abandoned farm machinery including a "binder" and a wagon wheel.
Physical Conditions:
Site is in poor condition. Current owner went through site with a front-end loader to retrieve bottles. No impact from mining.
