Statement of Significance
The Oxley Soldiers' Memorial "has heritage significance as many family names of men who served their country during the Great War are recorded there for posterity." (ref.1)

Oxley War Memorial Obelisk - Physical Description 1
The monument is a grey granite obelisk with rusticated faces, standing on upper and lower granite plinths with polished faces containing incised lettering with the names of men from the district who served in both World Wars.

Oxley War Memorial Obelisk - Veterans Description for Public
The Oxley War Memorial Obelisk is located inside Oxley Memorial Reserve on Green Street. The monument comprises of grey granite with rusticated faces, standing on upper and lower granite plinths, with the names of soldiers who served in the First World War and were residents of the Shire. It was built by the Shire of Oxley and officially dedicated November 11th 1922. Later, rusticated faces on the base of the plinth were polished and the names of Second World War soldiers were added.
