THE ASSOCIATED CHURCH AND VICARAGE WERE CONSTRUCTED IN 1863-65. THE FIRST BUILDING ON THIS SITE, A PARISH HALL KINDERGARTEN, WAS BUILT IN 1883. IN 1918 IT WAS REPLACED BY A SECOND, LARGER HALL. IN 1968 THE CHURCH WAS DEMOLISHED AND IN 1984 PART OF THE PARISH HALL WAS DESTROYED BY FIRE. THE SITE WAS LEVELLED AND USED AS A CAR PARK BY THE PARISHIONERS WHO NOW WORSHIP IN THE SURVIVING PORTION OF THE 1918 HALL.ST PHILIP'S ANGLICAN CHURCH HALL - Interpretation of Site
The footings are the remains of the second parish hall 1918-1984. Evidence of the first parish hall may survive beneath them but are likely to have been destroyed by the construction of the second hall.
