MAIDEN GULLY 3 - History
Although nothing is known of the history of this site, it is likely that it was associated with early mining activities (1850-1880).
MAIDEN GULLY 3 - Interpretation of Site
Part of the two-roomed house was likely made from timeber as indicated by the footings on the western side. The building with the chimney was likely a kitchn although the hearth is very narrow for a kitchen fireplace. The third and smallest building was perhaps a store-room. The site is probably the remains of a farming complex.
