THE BLUFF HISTORIC SITE - History
Yaloak Estate was part of two squatting runs in the 1830s and has been continuously used for grazing and cropping to the present.THE BLUFF HISTORIC SITE - Interpretation of Site
This site may represent the remnants of a stone enclosure for animals or equipment. All basalt boulders are similarly weathered indicating a single phase construction.
THE BLUFF HISTORIC SITE - Archaeological Significance
Some wire visible under some boulders. Excavation may reveal the presence or absence of sub-surface cultural material and/or related features.

THE BLUFF HISTORIC SITE - Heritage Inventory Description
The site comprises a rectangular basalt feature approximately 2 metres north of an east-west running fence on Yaloak Estate at the base of The Bluff which rises to 420 metres to the north-east.The rectangular stone basalt feature measures 16mx6m. Basalt boulders are evenly distributed along the edges. A greater concentration of basalt is discernable within the eastern section of the feature. Rusted wire is present underneath some basalt.
