Malvern War Memorial - Veterans Description for Public
The Malvern War Memorial is located inside Central Park on Wattletree Road and Kingston Street. The memorial comprises of an ornamental bluestone obelisk, engraved with the gold lettering of 183 names of fallen residents. Unveiled on 19th March 1922, the memorial has been rededicated to conflicts after the First World War, including the Second World War, Korea, Malaya, Borneo and Vietnam. The original inscription reads, " In memory of those brave men residents of Malvern, who gave their lives in the Great War 1914-1918. Erected by a grateful Englishman."
