Miners Rest War Memorial - Veterans Description for Public
The Miners Rest War Memorial, on Creswick Street, comprises of a granite obelisk dedicated to the memory of the First World War. The monument was officially unveiled by Sir A.J. Peacock on 23rd May 1920. The inscription reads: "In honour of our men this district who gave their lives in the Great War 1914-19. Duty nobly done. Erected by residents A.D. 1920."
