    Moorabbin War Memorial Plaque - Veterans Description for Public

    The Moorabbin War Memorial Plaque, on Chesterville Road, was erected on 23rd May 1995 to commemorate the Second World War. The site formerly housed a War-time Naval Signal Station, playing a crucial role in winning the war in the Pacific. The station was manned by personnel from both the Royal Australian Navy, Women's Royal Australian Navy and the U.S. Navy between 1942-1945.
