Tallygaroopna Memorial Hall - Veterans Description for Public
The Tallygaroopna Memorial Hall, on Victoria and Fowler Streets, was erected to commemorate the First World War. The foundation stone was laid by M.W.J. Bourchier on 1st January 1924. The outside wall isadorned with shield plaques listing themostsignificantbattlefields: Belgium, Palestine, Mespot (Mesopotamia), Egypt, Gallipoli and France. There is also an honour roll listing the names of 43 fallen and returned soldiers from the district who fought in the First World War.
