Statement of Significance
B Listed - Regional Significance
'Ingliston' erected 1871-2 for John Hensley J.P at 264 Latrobe Terrace, Geelong, is another of the picturesque Victorian eclectic style villas built in Geelong in the 1870's in a mode characteristic of the work of architect Joseph Watts. The house, which ws located in an elite residential area largely occupied by the professions, is one of a group of distinguished and interesting villas centred on Latrobe Terrace, and compares favourably with the larger villa at 256 Latrobe Terrace erected c 1872 for Dr. Mackin.
Dr. Rupert Pincott acquired the property in 1874 adding a surgery in 1878.
