STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCEA characteristic Californian Bungalow built in 1924. It is architecturally significant locally as one of a small group characteristic of the Bungalow style and significant historically as a representative embodiement of the way of life in the 1920s Newtown.

Residence - Physical Description 1
An elevated, symmetical, double-fronted, red-brick Californian Bungalow with a hip-roof. A gable projects at centre, over the porch. This has battered shingles, with a rectangular vent. The roof is supported on large coved bracket-pairs, over brick piers, with a capped brick balustrade between. Rafters are exposed. Windows are triples: a canted bay with a flat hood at left and rectangular at right. The fence is a timber palisade: Three narrow pickets between a single wider picket and two pedestrian gates. There is a Cypress at left, and other trees (obscured).
