Statement of Significance
STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
A symmetrical early Edwardian timber house built in 1912. It has local architectural significance as an early representative ofthis domestic style and historically in embodying artisan life in Newtown before the Great War.
INTACTNESS: Very good. The fence and concrete steps are not appropriate. One chimney pot is missing.
CONDITIONS & THREATS: Very good.

DESCRIPTION
A symmetrical doublefronted early Edwardian Timber house with a highhipped roof The verandah extends across, with a hipped bullnosed roof and a central gable set forward at the entrance. The unusual valance refer detail has fretwork apron panels over a rail with coved fretwork brackets and turned posts. Windows are pairs. The entrance has side and fan lights. The chimney is rendered with a brickwork frieze, moulds and one pot.
