1940s GARAGE - Physical Description 1
The garage is a red brick building of the 1940s with a gabled roof concealed behind a stepped parapeted front. It is set back slightly from the street to provide a parking area.
The facade has a large central garage door with a concrete lintel. Above it is a panel of cream bricks, providing the only decorative interest apart from the stepped parapet. On either side of the door are six-paned steel windows, with splayed brick window sills.
The side elevations have exposed rafter ends. The bricks are red with scattered clinkers. The small, highset pairs of timber windows have sills of chamfered bricks. There is an inset door on the south elevation.
A garage door has been created on the north elevation in recent years. The garage roller doors to the facade and north elevation are both modern. There is also a metal-clad skillion at the rear of the brick building and another gabled shed behind that.
