This Moreton Bay Fig (ficus macrophylla) is located on the north-west corner of Kelly park. The expansive evergreen canopy andheight of this specimen is a recognised landmark in the City of Wyndham. The landscape use of this species of native fig in the layout of the park reflects a planting style of the late nineteenth to early twentieth centuries which utilised large tree specimens with bold foliage.
