Residence - Physical Description 1
DESCRIPTION
The large gable roof and attic storey is the dominant feature of the Bungalow style house at 57 McKillop Street, the red brick asymmetrical residence has a number of unusual details including tall brick chimneys, timber eaves brackets and a variety of windows. A bay window with window hood, a pair of double hung windows with brick pointed arched openings, a brick buttress and a five pane timber window to the attic storey are ecclesiastical reference and add a Picturesque element to the facade. The building is substantially intact although a recent extension with a flat roof to the east of the structure, disrupts the main roof line. Other details include decorative barge board ends, protruding sills, keystones to window openings, and a garden setting with a hedge frontage to the street.
