A new church was built by the Presbyterians at East Kew in the late 1930s and three stained glass windows were already installed by the date of the first service on 2 April 1939. One was in memory of John T. Murray AIF and his son Lindsay C. Murray and was the gift of Elizabeth and Elma Murray. No record of John Murray's war service has been found to date.
