In September 1919, a new brick church, costing almost £900, was built in the farming district of Milloo, north of Bendigo to replace the original timber building. The minister who had built the original church, the Reverend David Ross Hewton of St. Luke's Anglican Church, South Melbourne, was invited back to the opening and to performthe unveiling of a stained glass window placed in memory of the the men of the neighbourhood who died on active service in the Great War.
