Residence - Physical Description 1
DESCRIPTION
81 McKillop Street is a symmetrical affronted late Victorian residence with a reasonably high degree on integrity. The timber facade with beaded boards features double hung sash window, with wide Victorian architraves, a four panel timber door with narrow side lights and a high light and a convex verandah. Slender round iron columns with Classical capitals and an iron frieze with brackets are notable original verandah details. The corrugated iron hip roof has been recently reclad. The verandah floor is concrete, however it is likely that it was originally timber. Exposed eaves brackets decorate the fascia. The front palisade fence complements the Victorian style of the residence as does the garden setting.
