Statement of Significance
Contribution to landscape
Outstanding size of canopy
This Pepper Tree (Schinus molle) is of outstanding size with a trifurcated trunk. It makes a significant contribution to the landscape being visible from both the entrance to Deakin University and from Pigdons Road. It is a fine example of its species in the Geelong area
The tree is currently situated in the backyard of a mid 20th century farmhouse thought to predate the 1969 purchase of the land by TAFE.
