STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE
Historically, a near intact corner store which has operated over a long period with a connection to the Kerley family, specifically JT Kerley, who was also active in the community health area.
Architecturally, a near complete example of 1 19th century building type with valuable details such as the shopfronts which are now rare.

External Integrity
Generally original.
Streetscape
Isolated in the McKillop Street frontage, but part of a Victorian and Edwardian elevation in Swanston Street and a major corner site in that location. Adjoins precinct 7.5.
