FORMER J.H. DOWN COOPER SITE - History
In 1850, Down built a two room wood building and a timber yard. By 1852, the site included a cooper's shop and dwelling.

Currently a donut shop (fronting on to Shorts Place) with little sign of subsurface disturbance. Building fronting Shorts Place and Little Malop likely to be the original.
