GEORGE WHITE IRONMONGER SITE - History
Ratebooks noted that in 1854, the ironmongery included a six room shopand iron store. By 1858 the two storey brick building included a kitchen. In the early 1900s, the site was demolished and the current building was constructed, originally built for real estate agent Hendy Leary & Co. The site was also Macrow's Furniture Arcade.Heritage Inventory Description
