FORMER ROYAL OAK HOTEL SITE - History
Ratebooks note that in 1853 the two storey hotel (established by Josheph) consisted of ten rooms, offices, stables and a kitchen. Two years later, the hotel included a shed, store room and bar (as well as a nine stall stable). By 1857 the hotel had 13 rooms.Heritage Inventory Description
