STATEMENT OF SIGNIFICANCE HISTORIC PLACES DOCUMENT SHEET - GRC SHEET NO 240
This cast concrete water trough is one of a large number erected throughout Australia in accordance with the provisions of the Wills of Annis and George Bills, using a large financial bequest. Specifically required to be devoted to the welfare of animals.
The Inscription on the bronze plaque reads.
'Donated by Annis and George Bills, Australia'
The trough is of great historical interest being the Bills testimony to their love of, and concern for the quadruped in the face of an automated Austalian.
