What is significant?
A single Algerian Oak tree located in the middle of a school courtyard at Leongatha Primary School.
How is it significant?
This Algerian Oak is significant for scientific and social reasons at the Regional level.
Why is it significant?
The tree is scientifically significant for its large trunk and canopy. It is also significant for its contribution to the landscape of the school. The tree was planted by the first farm manager of the school when it was opened in 1910. This tree is valued by the community and provides shade for the current students.
