What is significant?
A single Long-leaved Box tree which is located on a tree lined roadside that borders the western boundary of 44 Broughtons Rd.
How is it significant?
This Long-leaved Peppermint is significant for scientific, aesthetic and landscape reasons at the State level.
Why is it significant?
This Long-leaved Box is scientifically significant for its outstanding large size in all categories and the tree is an important source of seeds (genetics). It has an impressively large canopy spread of 37 m. It is aesthetically significant for its large and unusually healthy form. It is also significant for its contribution to a landscape that was mostly cleared of native vegetation but where there is some natural regeneration occurring.
