Statement of Significance
What is significant?
A single large Red Box located on a rural private property next to a railway line.
How is it significant?
This Red Box is significant for scientific reasons at the Regional level.
Why is it significant?
The Red Box is scientifically significant for its outstanding size. It is significantly larger than any other tree in the area and it is in a remarkably good condition with a thick and healthy canopy and no stem scars.
