This tree is significant for scientific and social reasons at the Regional level.
Why is it significant?
The tree is scientifically significant for its outstanding size having one of the largest circumference measurements on the Register. The tree is also socially significant for its contribution to the landscape/streetscape of the residential area. It has an interesting low hanging branch, good form and is a great example of why this species should be planted.
