Statement of Significance
The same corner site was previously occupied by the Bucks Head Hotel built c1860 and therefore has been continuously occupied by a hotel since that time.
The Drysdale Hotel has historic and social value to the Drysdale community and the whole of the Bellarine Peninsula.
The place is significant because of its association with this important intersection of 5 major roads. The place is located at the earliest site of the important historic site of the Drysdale. A hotel site has been a continuous historic landmark. The land has b en continuously occupied by a hotel since the 1860s. The hotel buildings have been regarded as local landmarks.
It is of LOCAL cultural siqnificance.

Description
The significant architectural features are the original roof form and finish, the original materials, unpainted finish, windows, chimneys and parapet, the other prominent contributing elevations, the ornamental wall detailing and the gable decoration.
